Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. You provide gender, birth date, self-reported health, tobacco history, desired coverage amount, and term length—the six pieces needed to run quotes. Personal details such as name, address, email, and full health history are only requested if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They are the rates carriers quote for the class you selected for your information only. The carrier's underwriting team sets the actual premium after reviewing your full application, and they may affirm, improve, or adjust your class. Nothing here represents a binding offer or final rate.
What happens when I click Apply?
Your information fills into a secure application on the carriers' system, then continues under their process. Susman Insurance Agency (License 0B75129) is the licensed California agency managing your application. You can stop and restart anytime; everything is reversible until a policy is issued and paid.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on the specific carrier, the coverage amount, and your health answers. Many modern carriers offer accelerated underwriting for applicants who qualify, which means a decision without an exam. Each quote on this site states whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not needed for that product.
Is a longer term better?
It depends on what you are protecting. A term should cover the years when losing your income would hurt your household: a mortgage balance, raising children, or a business loan. Longer periods lock your rate in for more years, but cost more per month. The quote tool shows 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options side by side for comparison.
Does this site sell my information?
No. We do not sell your data, broker it to third parties, or track you with ads. The quote tool does not collect names or emails. Measurement is cookieless and first-party. See the privacy page for a full explanation of what we collect and how.
